Mauritius ….. Lux Grand Gaube

Who loves sun, fun and food…

Practically anyone who reads my blog, likes all of the above… however if your wandering spirit ever leads you to Mauritius the golden island in the Indian Ocean,

then check out some places below. Firstly you must stay at the Lux Grand Gaube, part of the Lux Resort brand… it’s spectacular

LUX GRAND GAUBE

The entrance to this hotel is breathtaking …a Kelly Hoppen design, simple , geometric flooring , waterfalls with white decor and very welcoming staff.

The team is on hand to help with anything, giving you that feeling of royalty.

Our host Elena and our barista Pooja made our day to day a joy.

Looked after by Diren and Yasser in the restaurants, from the Palm Court, Bodrum Blue to Creole smokehouse , we did venture to Beach Rouge , our sommelier Rudy was awesome …

The staff are super amazing and willing to help. Just ask or they will try anticipate your needs.

Love the golf buggies and the spa facilities there are secluded beach spots with views of the array of blues of the Indian ocean with lots of water sports activities

We will definitely return to this little area of paradise. We stayed in a superior room and with excellent views of the ocean.

Don’t forger the ice-cream truck onsite 🙂

INTI RESTAURANT

Before landing in Mauritius we knew this restaurant would be a special visit.

We were not disappointed … ensure you give this restaurant its flowers!!!

The menu is well thought out and beautifully prepared with presentation and service making it a dream and a seamless dining experience.

The head chef makes such simple food, but so tasty, that I quizzed him to see if I can replicate one of his dishes at home …

The Corn and cheese mash was to die for….a truly innovative and simple dish

A new restaurant so some small attentive issues, but service and smile goes a long way.

BODRUM BLUE

This is my first trip to Mauritius. Food is my favourite past time and visiting a restaurant where you can see the food preparation is always a joyous experience.

The staff is super helpful and their aim to make your experience an unforgettable one … and they made our trip very memorable.

We had one person that went above and beyond in assisting us , Yasser, thank you for all your help, you made our dinner reservation a fabulous experience

I will be recommending you to my friends travelling to Mauritius.

REVE D’R

Based on a recommendation from our hotel concierge. As we were looking for a local Mauritian restaurant.

Based in a local complex with its own factory, it looked more like an event space, however with a restaurant to the side , we were quietly surprised
The food, service was attentive. There were only 2 tables as it was a quiet Sunday night .

The food was good, serve quickly and beautifully presented .

There is small pool that our table overlooked with palm trees in the garden its an intimate space.

EBONY TABLE D’HOTE

Omg this place ….. authentic Mauritius food.

On a day tour to a rum tasting event, we requested our guide to provide recommendations for lunch … where he would eat..

I can recommend the Capital fish. It was so sweet and tasty. The salad and chapati blended nicely.

My friend chose the fresh prawns of the day grilled …
Service was perfect. Not crowded. Happy smiling staff and super helpful.

Will be back again… this place is Shamazing 😊

Until da next Tyme
