I have just received this update and wanted to pass on to those that will be travelling to Portugal in the next coming weeks :

Incident description:

Pilots of Portugal’s national air carrier, TAP, are scheduled to strike between 5 and 8 July and from 1 to 5 August.

Analysis: The national Civil Aviation Pilots’ Syndicate (SPCA), which represents TAP pilots, has called for strike action in an ongoing labour dispute over work contracts and government plans to privatise the airline. Although the airline is expected to implement contingency plans, disruptions to TAP’s domestic and international air services including cancellations and delays of flights should be anticipated during the strike period.

Advice: Clients intending to make use of TAP air services during the strike period are advised to contact the airline or their travel provider for further information on the status of their flight(s).
