My Guilt Trip ……..


We are  all allowed guilty pleasures from time to time , so I am about to share with you one of Jamaica best kept secrets …..


Jamaica is renowned for its awesome beaches, friendly people , great music and its food, amongst other things ……what people are not aware of is the hidden gems of culinary skills that Jamaica hides.


Deep in the heart of Kingston , situated in an actual vault in Devon House is a culinary delight … GUILT 






so to all foodies, let me break down the menu : 

  • Braised Lamb Shank with Mint Cream and Pearls of Isareli Cous – cous 
  • Fall off da bone Oxtail with Broad beans and a “crackhead” rice & peas 
  • Margarita Chicken Breast with Tequila Lime, Salt & Smashed Herb Potates 
  • Signature deboned Oxtail with Guiness Stout , a hint of Mexican chocolate and Board beans over Penne Alfredo 
  • Roasted Breast of Duck with a wicked Merlot Sour Cherry Sauce, Passion – fruit drizzle & ginger whipped Mashed potatoes 
  • Award winning “Run Dung ” Codfish Pasta with or without Dried Pepper Shrimp , English Pea Salsa


Needless to say , this is one of my favorite haunts and with the Chef and owner Colin Hylton, a quiet,humble, focused and unassuming person, you could easily overlook him in a crowd, but his culinary skills are to die for, his love of his trade is clear.

I would love to see him against Gordon Ramsay……that would be super interesting …. #letsmakeithappen
