Recently my hubby and I had the opportunity to try something new and we opted for renting a boat from Skuna Boats to be a cook and a captain of our own boat for the day.

It was a great experience and one I can recommend

Booking the boat was a breeze through their user-friendly website. The process was straightforward, and I appreciated the clear pricing options and availability calendar.

Make sure you read all the fine print as if you damage the boat you are liable … which is of course expected

Upon arriving at the lakeside, the Skuna Boats team welcomed us with warm smiles and a thorough safety briefing – which is to make sure we watched the video of how to steer the boat as well as safety precautions for a non-swimmer such as myself.

It was clear that safety was a top priority for them, which put my mind at ease.

The boat itself was in impeccable condition – clean, well-maintained, and equipped with all the necessary amenities for a day of relaxation and fun on the water, including a bbq with gas , fire extinguishers, and utensils to cook.

As this was a small lake, it was simple and easy and relaxing pace.

The bbq was super easy to operate, they offer a food package, but you can bring your own food which we did .

They don’t allow your own drinks, as they sell that as part of their packages,  but on our trip their fridge wasn’t working so we were allowed to bring our own alcohol and soft drinks 🙂

It was a super chilled day, but this will be a great idea for a group of friends, as the boats can hold 10 people easily to make it a fun day out …

They have another location based at Canary Wharf which can get pretty busy

For next summer I am definitely signing up again
