Banana Tree

I have always known that Soho is a minefield of fabulous places to eat

Banana Tree was recommended to me as my friends know of my wandering taste bud for Chinese and the exotic….. This place catered to it all.

This is a concept from the Indochina region combining Indonesian, Vietnamese etc all in that area for an amazing aromatic holiday on your taste buds …

Happy hour is a must, so head there before 7pm, it gets quite busy and you can’t reserve a table so it’s a first come first serve basis.

The service is good, I had a trainee Martin who was just the right disposition for our rowdy table…I think he no longer has his training wheels, he passed as far as we were concerned, attentive, but not overly hovering.

The price is very reasonable for centre London and I didn’t get that rush feeling as most restaurants do, it was great ambience with a positive vibe.

I can recommend the Beef Rendang one their specialities, slow cooked beef that just melts in your mouth, also combo up with a house combo that comes with salad spicy rice etc….its worth it.

As always the Rendang was amazing and the Princes Rangoon was a new taste to me which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Definitely on my radar and will be visiting again and again and again …..

Until da next Tyme
