Good Morning all,

This past weekend I  ventured to Germany to catch up with my girl, as I haven’t seen her in a long time. 🙂

Having been warned that the weather was quite severe, I wasn’t prepared for the shock that my system experienced when I  arrived

Minus 19C is no laughing matter, the air was so cold that breathing through my nose hurt and when I breathed through my mouth I lost my breath for a few short minutes.

As I was in the mountains this was even colder than in Bonn – the City.

Needless to say I was wrapped up like a turkey and  when I ventured out for a walk to see the river that was frozen, I was back inside within  15 minutes as the temperature was unbearable. Over the next few days the temperatuare fluctuated between –7C and -18C not a temperature to be sneezed at 🙂

I must admit that I have new found respect for anyone that lives in such extreme temperatures in other parts of the world.
