1. Know the facts but don’t solely rely upon them – people make decisions for emotional reasons just as much as rational ones 

1. Connect your ideas  to their priorities and they will make the decisions  for their reasons not yours.

1. Convey how others have supported your ideas. This will make it harder to reject

1. Believe in what you are selling. If you aren’t confident, how can others be?

1. Illustrate how great things will be if your ideas are accepted. The more vivid and personal the picture,  the greater your chances of convincing successfully.
